RDM Council
The RDM Council is the advisory body for the work of the RDM Competence Centre at HHU and an important interface between scientists from all faculties, infrastructure representatives and data protection officers.
Tasks
The RDM Council acts in an advisory capacity for the further development of the topic of RDM at university level.
The RDM Council pools expertise on research data management from the various scientific disciplines, brings in the user perspective and balances this with the concerns surrounding the infrastructural framework conditions at HHU and data protection.
The members of the RDM Council represent an important interface to the faculties of HHU.
The RDM Council advises on the work and further development of the services offered by the RDM Competence Centre.
The RDM Council develops recommendations for the RDM Steering Committee.
Composition
The RDM Council is composed as follows:
- One to two academic representatives with proven experience in research data management per faculty
- One representative per institution involved in the RDM Competence Centre (Research & Transfer Department, University and State Library, Centre for Information and Media Technology)
The members are appointed by the faculties or the institutions involved in the RDM Competence Centre.
The data protection officers of the Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf and the University Hospital Düsseldorf are permanent members of the RDM Council.
Turn
The RDM Council meets at least every six months.
