Research data management is characterised by continuous adaptation and innovation, as it lives from subject-specific requirements and the resulting heterogeneity.

The services of the Research Data Management Competence Centre at HHU are therefore offered in close cooperation with research groups at HHU and complemented with the latter’s project work.

Cooperation with research groups at HHU

ELN in Teaching

In order to familiarise early career researchers with electronic lab notebooks, these are used during teaching in cooperation with the Neurobiology working group led by Professor Christine Rose and Karl Kafitz.

Spoken Morphology

A data infrastructure for research data management was established together with the Spoken Morphology research group, which is investigating morphologically complex words in English, German and Maltese.

Digital edition – Max Hermann Neisse

A digital edition is currently being developed as part of a research project of the group led by Professor Schönborn in collaboration with the Trier Center for Digital Humanities and the virtual research framework for the humanities and social sciences (FUD).

HHU projects and activities

FoDaKo

Back in 2014, HHU signed a cooperation agreement on research data management and long-term digital archiving with the University of Siegen and the University of Wuppertal.

fdm.nrw

As part of the cross-university activities of the fdm.nrw state initiative for research data management, the Research Data Management Competence Centre team is represented in state-wide working groups on electronic lab notebooks and research data management awareness.

DINI/nestor collaboration

The team from the Research Data Management Competence Centre is represented nationally in the speaker group of the DINI-nestor-AG research data.
